“In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can.” – Nikos Kazantzakis

As we move into the second week of the 30 day challenge, here are some helpful stories from a few amazing yogis and a good recipe to keep you hydrated and refreshed.

“I like the 30-day challenge because you get a sticker when you practice. I like yoga because it makes you feel happy and it is good for your body!” – Indira, daughter of Mark and Zefea, commenting on the 30 Day Challenge in Santa Barbara

Koert van Barneveld in Amsterdam

Koert came into his first class just a few months ago with the usual reaction after the first class, “You probably won’t see me again.” But he came around for his second (free) class anyway just a few days later! He now comes in almost every day and looking so amazing and vibrant compared to when he first walked in. He’s a blessing for our relatively new teachers as this is why we teach.

reenergizing drink during Evolation’s 30 day challenge

No doubt you’re sweating a lot each day. To replenish all that you are releasing from you’re body each day, it’s good to enjoy an electrolyte rich pick-me-up drink. Instead of reaching for another sport drink, try making your own at home. Easy to do, easy to customize, great for your body and super tasty.

to start:
1 tbsp. Apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. Honey (for extra fuel and quick-energy)
Pinch of natural sea sal, Celtic salt r Himalayan salt
– Stir ingredients into an 8oz glass of water until honey is dissolved, then drink.

for a more sweet, flavorful option add:
1 cup fresh apple juice
Juice of two lemons
t will last one or two days and can be used before, during or after exercise.

modifications:
dd some lime or orange juice
Add 1/2 cup of coconut water and only 2 1/2 of water
Replace the apple juice with pear juice or other fruit juice
Add more a pinch or two more of salt if you’re a “salty sweater”

day 1 to today, what’s new?

What’s your reason for going to class each day? Amy gives her thoughts after 7 days of a revitalizing challenge:
