Why Southeast Asia is a Yoga Paradise

Over the years, more and more people have been flocking to Southeast Asia to grow their yoga practice. From Bali to the tropical islands of Southern Thailand, it has the perfect atmosphere for yogis to turn inward and find peace.

As a traveling yoga teacher and two-time evolation graduate, I have been traveling through Southeast Asia for almost two months. I am surprised at just how different my practice feels over on this side of the world.

There’s something about being surrounded by lush greenery, the sounds of tropical birds, and kind and generous human beings that really sparks all the best parts of my yoga practice. It inspires me to grow, to appreciate the present moment, and to find compassion for myself and others.

Additionally, both Thailand and Bali are very focused on health and wellness. You can enjoy a lifestyle of self-care: regular massages, fresh local ingredients, and lots of Buddhist traditions that complement a meditation practice. There’s no question these are great places to take care of your body and mind. One of my favourite routines is a morning meditation on the beach, matching my breath with the waves, and then jumping in the crystal clear water afterwards to cleanse my mind and relax my body.

Bali

...in particular has become extremely popular among yogis and surfers. That being said, it can be difficult to choose a yoga teacher training in the area, with so many new ones popping up every few months. Luckily, you can rest assured that evolation has got you covered. We’ve been hosting trainings here since _____! This means we know lots about the area, and have the dynamics of our training down to a science. We’ve got great food, accomodation and trainers to make sure you have the best experience possible.

Start your new year off right. January 2020 we’ll be headed to Pondok Pitaya, overlooking the beach at a local yoga and surf retreat. This is available to complete four week straight through from January 6th to February 1st, or you can do weekly modules if you’re unable to attend the full training. Whether you’re interested in your hot yoga certification or vinyasa flow, check out more details at:

Thailand

…has more recently been growing as a yoga community. However, there’s no better place than the Southern islands to practice. Quiet, slow beach days are perfect to study, practice and connect to the source. We’re excited to announce this training as it’s our first in Phuket, Thailand! We’ll be practicing with views overlooking Kata Beach, with a pool on-site as well. We’ll be hosting this training at Kata Hot Yoga Thailand, which has been in operation for a decade and certainly know their way around the island and are extremely knowledgeable about this practice.

Join us from February 3rd to 29th, and start your journey to becoming a certified yoga instructor. Find time to enjoy local Thai cuisine, explore the Big Buddha of Phuket, or treat yourself to atraditional Thai massage. Find more details at:
