OUR TRAINING LEADERS
Zefea Samson
Zefea began practicing yoga at age 4 with renowned teacher Angela Farmer. In her twenties, she trained in boxing and Krav Maga. She rediscovered yoga through Bikram Yoga in Amsterdam and graduated from Bikram’s Teacher Training in 2005. Zefea represented the Netherlands as the Dutch gold medalist three times in the International Yoga Championships, finishing in the world’s top 10 each time.
Mark Drost
Mark has studied yoga philosophy and meditation for over 40 years. With 30 years of Bikram Yoga practice and 25 years of teaching, he has taught in 100+ studios, founded 15, and mentored thousands of teachers. Inspired by the lineage of Yogananda, his classes blend heated hatha yoga with meditation, breathwork, and a deep sense of presence.
Irene Romano, born in Turin, Italy, discovered meditation at 9, fostering her intuitive worldview and love for music. After theater, yoga became her path to deeper self-discovery. She became a yoga teacher in Mexico in 2013 and embarked on a global journey, teaching and learning across continents. Irene's teaching focuses on alignment, strength, flexibility, and breath, guiding students to a meditative state on the mat.
Jessica Lawson, originally from Buffalo, New York, began her yoga journey over 10 years ago. Her passion for travel led her to practice yoga in ashrams around the world, deepening her understanding and love for yoga and people. After studying and practicing in India, she has taught and led retreats globally, including in Africa, Indonesia, South Africa, and America.
Karen Denis began her yoga journey in 2012, experiencing an immediate positive shift. She now teaches Vinyasa, 26+2, Yin, and Acroyoga, and assists in Teacher Trainings. Starting at a gym, she moved to teaching flow at evolation in 2015. In 2018, she embraced the 26+2 training in Buffalo, falling in love with the series after years of resistance. Evolation has felt like home, prompting her to focus solely on what brings her joy: connection through breath, spreading love, and helping others discover their true selves.
