Under the Tuscan Sun

Imagine doing Half Moon pose under the Italian sun while gazing out to rolling hills, far removed from the hustle and bustle of a big city, and then heading back for a delicious meal made from fresh local produce.

Imagine doing Dancer pose while looking out to the romantic canals of Venice, the city alive with celebration and charm, before heading out with fellow yogis to explore the local history.

From the history of Florence, the ancient streets in Rome, the culinary delights of Bologna and romantic canals in Venice, Italy is an irresistible experience that you could take a lifetime to complete.

That is why evolation is excited to announce their first traveling training this June.

There are a million reasons that can lead someone to travel to Italy from a love of history or food to a search for family or a desire to learn a new language, but as it happens, yoga has become increasingly popular throughout the country.

On June 19th, evolation will take 12 enthusiastic teacher trainees on a traveling tour of Northern Italy where they can soak up the local culture while working toward their 250-Hr Teacher Trainer Certification.

While the possibilities are endless, we have selected six idyllic communities – known for their unique architecture, quality of food, hospitality, and of course, idyllic locations for yoga – for trainees to tour as they study and learn.

BOLOGNA – Our first stop, Bologna, is home to one of the world’s oldest universities and is culinary paradise. This northern Italian city has contributed dozens of classic recipes and foods to the repertory of Italian cooking, including tortellini, tagliatelle and mortadella as well as Ragù Bolognese. Here we will spend two weeks in a traditional house settled in the idyllic Bologna countryside.

ROME –Rome, Italy’s capital, is a sprawling, cosmopolitan city with nearly 3,000 years of globally influential art, architecture and culture on display. The city of Rome is a wonderful place of small streets and history that dons everything from the Colosseum to high fashion shops to the Trastevere student neighborhood with cheap food and tiny winding streets.

VENICE – Built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea, Venice has no roads, just canals lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. You can experience a gondola ride, have an amazing romantic candlelight dinner or head to one of the nearby islands for a unique adventure.

FLORENCE – Everything people say about it is true. Great food, amazing museums, ancient buildings, small streets, and awesome gelato. It is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance, and has been called “the Athens of the Middle Ages”. Nearby is the Tuscan region where you get a great feel for the countryside.

AND MORE LOCATIONS TO COME!

Poets, authors and screenwriters have waxed poetic about the traveler’s fascination with Italy. Can you imagine a more exciting and rewarding way to study yoga than by tour of a country so rich in history and culture?
