What is Yin Yoga?

Yin Yoga is a practice that involves holding passive, long-held postures that target the connective tissues in the body, such as the ligaments, tendons, and fascia. This practice helps to increase flexibility, promote relaxation, and balance the energy in the body.

Who is this training for?

This training is for yoga practitioners who have a minimum of 1 year of consistent yoga practice and want to deepen their knowledge of Yin Yoga. It's also suitable for those who are interested in becoming Yin Yoga teachers or for yoga teachers who want to expand their teaching skills.

What will I learn in the 84 Hour Yin Yoga teacher training?

You'll learn the fundamental principles of Yin Yoga, including anatomy, sequencing, and how to use props. You'll also learn about the energetic aspects of the practice, such as meridian theory and mindfulness techniques. Additionally, you'll learn how to create and teach safe and effective Yin Yoga classes.

What is the format of the training?

The training can be done in-person, online. or a combination of in-person and online. You'll attend 7-day immersion at one of our locations and you can also complete the course online. During the immersion, you'll have daily yoga practice, lectures, and group discussions. The online coursework includes videos, readings, and quizzes.

Is this training Yoga Alliance certified?

Yes, this training is accredited by Yoga Alliance and meets the standards for YACEP (Continuing Education Provider). This training does not qualify to complete your initial registration with the Yoga Alliance. You need a 200 hour or 500 hour training to do so [link to our training page]. In order to continue learning and growing as a teacher, all Registered Yoga Teachers (RYTs) must complete a minimum of 45 hours of Continuing Education every three years. And the 84 hrs of this training certainly count towards that!

What should I bring to the training?

You should bring comfortable yoga clothes, a yoga mat, a journal, and a water bottle. You'll also need to bring any required textbooks or materials, which will be provided before the start of the training.
